Are you enthusiastic, self motivated and wanting to take the lead on conservation and design work within a busy planning authority, less than 15 miles from the centre of London? Home to the famous Elstree and BBC studios, Hertsmere is located in south Hertfordshire, a locality containing over 700 statutory and locally listed buildings and 16 Conservation Areas.

You should have good local authority/conservation experience and will take on an extensive and complex workload covering development proposals, conservation area reviews and design guidance.

This is a full time post (36 hours per week), based in Borehamwood, with a benefits package which includes 25-30 days annual leave (depending on length of Local Government Service), final salary pension scheme, flexible working hours, relocation scheme, outstanding training and career progression opportunities and free use of leisure facilities.
