Led by the Lewisham Gateway proposals for the comprehensive redevelopment of its main town centre and the planned regeneration of the Deptford and Catford areas, the Borough is set to undergo a substantial regeneration programme during the next few years with significant social, economic and environmental improvements.

Alongside this regeneration programme are twenty six conservation areas and some 550 listed buildings. We have an ongoing programme of conservation area appraisals and reviews.

Senior Conservation Officer
Job Ref: RE1088 £34,782 – £36,474 pa (PO3)

You will take the lead on reviewing Lewisham’s conservation areas and working closely with development control colleagues providing expert advice on planning applications in conservation areas and applications for listed building consent.

You will have a suitable conservation qualification, be eligible for membership of the IHBC and have conservation experience.
