If you are a qualified and experienced Educational Psychologist with a passion for improving children’s emotional and psychological well-being, we want to hear from you.
The Educational Psychology Service has a lead role in the Comprehensive CAMH agenda and the new post of Senior Educational Psychologist is central to these developments. You will develop the Borough’s new model to provide co-ordinated services for children and manage our new primary mental health workers. The role includes building the capacity in our schools and services to enhance children’s well being and meet additional emotional/ psychological needs. You will also support the Educational Psychology Service in developing and delivering this agenda, and will have responsibility for a small group of schools.
You will be a committed and innovative psychologist with strong partnership building skills and evident capacity to manage a strategic brief. You are likely to have existing experience and knowledge of current evidence-based interventions.
We support and develop EPs well and the EPS is highly valued in the Royal Borough. We have a well-established collaborative model for school-based work and we are further developing community, specialist and project responsibilities in our growing service. There are strong, positive links with other services and, last September, we began working in two centrally located Area Children’s Teams bases.
For an informal discussion about this post please contact Helene Green, Principal of Educational Psychology and Inclusion on 01628 796688.
RBWM has a responsibility for, and is committed to, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and for ensuring that they are protected from harm. This post is subject to an Enhanced CRB.
