We are looking for a Senior Engineer to work across the entire remit of the Highways team, taking responsibility for the overarching area of asset management. Working closely with all colleagues in improving systems and ways of operational working to help deliver more efficient and effective programmes and maintenance regimes to enable the service to provide best value for money in the maintenance and development of the network.
Main duties will include collecting, maintaining, analysing, appraising and presenting data, regarding the highway and its assets. To work across the team ensuring compliance with best codes of practise, lifecycle planning and resilience of the network.
Maintaining and developing asset management systems. Undertaking projects in relation to asset management to support funding streams To create and maintain up to date policies and plans in relation to asset management, taking into account changes to the network, legislation and codes of practise to ensure they are aligned to corporate goals. Lead on engagement with stakeholders to build sound and productive working relationships.
To manage the Assistant Engineer in the discharge of the duties and assist across the team as directed by the Principal Engineer.
