Job Title: Senior Engineer Highway Development Control
Pay Grade: PO4 (£38,229 - £41,025)
Waltham Forest Highways are currently engaged in the delivery of substantial programme of major projects, including our £30million Mini Holland programme to radically change neighbourhoods, including placing cycling at the heart of new developments.
We invite an enthusiastic, highly motivated and exceptional Highway and Traffic Engineer to join our ambitious Highway Development Team to take responsibility for highway planning and development issues.
The highway development team is central to protecting and maintaining highway interests and identifying the highway alterations, liaison with developers throughout the planning and development.
The successful candidate will have good knowledge of highway development and highway engineering, and be able to negotiate and deliver S38 and S278 works.
The role will require developing a close working relationship with developers and other Council departments to ensure that development proposals compliment and are coordinated with other highway and Council schemes.
The ideal candidate would have detailed knowledge and experience of highways and traffic management, development control, estimates, project management, be a proficient AutoCAD user and possess excellent communications skills.
