This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small team in the city of Brighton & Hove to help us deliver safe, well managed accommodation for our residents living in private sector housing. The post will be in the Private Sector Housing Team.
The team is responsible for delivering national mandatory HMO licensing city-wide plus two additional licensing schemes for smaller HMOs in 12 wards of the city and dealing with service requests from residents.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly-motivated individual who wishes to progress in the field of private sector housing. You will have a full understanding of and be experienced in assessing housing health and safety defects and other Environmental Health issues relating to private sector housing.
You will have excellent organisational, communication and IT skills and be flexible in response to varying workload demands.
You must be a fully-qualified Environmental Health Practitioner, registered as such with the Environmental Health Registration Board, have several years’ experience relevant to the post and be a full, voting member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
