We currently have a vacancy for Gas Safe Engineer/Plumber on a multi-trade basis within the Housing Repairs Team. The role will include operational gas works, plumbing repair work, inspecting works and signing off gas works on behalf of the Council to Gas Safe Standards.
The successful applicant must have current Gas Safe registration to sign off works and minimum of City and Guilds qualification in either trade or the equivalent demonstrable work experience and enough knowledge/experience of each trade to complete repair works for both.
The repairs are carried out to the Council housing stock located in all areas of the borough. A van will be provided to travel between works. In addition, applicants will require experience of using the appropriate tools of the trade, have health and safety training and be physically fit enough to carry out work at heights using a ladder.
Additional skills such as plastering, tiling etc will be beneficial to this role.
