Senior Java Developer

My client is a unique organisation that specialises in data aggregation. Using proprietory software it enables companies to target consumers whose behaviour will ultimately trigger a purchase, even if that purchase is in another market sector. They are a dynamic, entrepreneurial company specialising in the buying and selling of mainly insurance and lending leads.

As the Senior Software Developer you will produce software and supporting artifacts to the appropriate level of quality as defined by the Technical Lead. Other duties include..
-When required, take the lead role in running development or maintenance projects, ensuring that they are appropriately planned and delivered in order to meet all targets and deadlines.
-Work closely with team members, providing on-going mentoring in order to enhance their capability as software developers and promote their personal development.
-Provide input into the on-going development of the team in order to ensure that skills are appropriately enhanced and new technologies are appropriately accounted for.
-Contribute on a daily basis to an enjoyable and productive working environment in which the individual members of the development team prosper and the team as a whole excels.
-Ensure that stakeholders’ interests are appropriately managed throughout the development / maintenance lifecycle by conducting regular updates that address any issues or changes in requirements.

The ideal candidate will be a Software Engineer who has a solid background in Java development and strong consultative skills in order to provide input into key development decisions. Strong database and experience of Agile would also be a major advantage for the role, however not essential.
