Senior Master Planner/Urban Designer

The Council seeks to recruit an experienced Urban Designer to lead the design input to the plan making, implementation and development management functions of the service. The successful candidate will be involved in the preparation and implementation of master plans for Broxbourne’s priority development areas and will also work on a variety of regeneration and conservation plans and projects. They will assist case officers to maximise the design and sustainability of developments in Broxbourne.

Applicants should be qualified in urban design or have a planning, architecture or related degree with significant urban design experience. Strong visualisation skills are a prerequisite. Master planning and experience on delivering development projects would be a considerable advantage although less experienced candidates who can demonstrate their suitability for the post will be considered.
