We need a keen, self-motivated manager, committed to excellence in customer care, to be part of the management team leading our Supported Housing Services section. This challenging role will see you managing the rota for the Emergency Response Service and dispersed staff in sheltered housing. You will be a strong communicator and also strong on logistics. You'll facilitate service-user meetings, represent the section at multi-agency meetings, and compile reports for a range of internal and external stakeholders. It's an excellent opportunity to make your mark in a busy and challenging environment maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
You will have excellent supervisory skills and you will have an in depth understanding of the support needs of vulnerable and older people, a commitment to supporting independent living and an understanding of relevant legislation. Your strong IT and financial management skills will be an added bonus.
Wandsworth Council provides sheltered housing for council tenants aged 55 and over together with a dedicated team of sheltered housing officers to support the residents. Our Out of Hours Service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and provides a full emergency response service.
We're proud to support vulnerable people to live independently within a sheltered housing setting and in their own homes; providing added reassurance through the WATCH Lifeline Service.
