About the role

This role is to take the day to day responsibility of managing the Planning Enforcement Team. This will involve supervising the work of the Compliance Officer and investigating alleged breaches of planning control and taking appropriate action in accordance with the guidance in the adopted Mole Valley Local Enforcement Plan. This will include preparing statements in relation to cases being investigated, drafting reports to seek authority for enforcement action, preparing witness statements, planning enforcement appeal statements and attend hearings, public inquiries and Court Hearings as appropriate.

About you

You will be a qualified Planner with significant experience in local authority planning enforcement services with a positive can do attitude, tact and diplomacy and a forensic approach to evidence gathering. You will have the ability to set up systems and processes, be PACE trained and be well organised.
