Due to retirement of the existing post holder an exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent full time Senior Social worker to join a well established and supportive Adult Care Team at present based at Castlewood in Clevedon.
The role will involve supervsing and developing Social Workers and other relevant staff in relation to casework practice and decision making as well as assisting the Team Manager with day to day management, including deputising when required. You will also hold a small caseload of complex work.
This is an exciting and challenging time for the team. We are in the process of integrating with our community health colleagues, who cover the same area to form an Integrated Team with a single management structure. Along with the team manager, the post holder will be involved in supporting the staff through these changes, contributing to the development of joint protocols and procedures to enable effective integrated working which will benefit the residents of North Somerset.
A degree (or relevant qualification) in Social work and significant post qualification experience is an essential requirement of this post.
