JGP is best known for www.jobsgopublic.com – the UK’s leading jobs board for the public, third and not for profit sectors. Less well known, but a key part of our future strategy, is the provision of software solutions for recruitment and skills development.

All future JGP solutions are to be underpinned by leading levels of accessibility and usability in the recruitment sector, both for our own branded solutions and those provided to our clients.

About the role…

We’re looking for a talented person to join the team and take the lead in producing websites, for us and our clients, that meet with accessibility standards and conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 using HTML, JavaScript and CSS. The role will involve acting as the accessibility and usability guru for the company promoting good practice within the production and development teams.

The person we’re looking for….

…is not only expert in web design – we’re also looking for a particular approach to life in general. We like to think of ourselves as a bit a different.

• Experienced in developing commercial solutions
• Proven track record of producing and designing accessible web sites that work for all browsers.
• Up to speed on the current web design thinking and guidelines
• Based in or near London
• Enthusiastic about doing things right and doing the right things
• A thinker
• Able to view solutions from a customer perspective
• Enjoy working with other creative people (JGP is full of keen photographers, musicians, and at least one “baton twirler”)
• Enjoy playing table football
• Must have a quirk
