The Howard league for Penal Reform is looking for two Senior Solicitors to join our Legal Team at The Howard league for Penal Reform.

The Senior Solicitors will be required to carry full fee-earning caseload acting for children and young adults in prison and in the penal system including taking judicial reviews. You will forecast, monitor, and control the prison/public law casework budget and finances in accordance with the legal department budget and prison/public law contract, maximising cash flow recovery and generating funding as appropriate and supervise the Legal Services Commission contract on prison/public law and to ensure that the prison/public law legal work is fully compliant in both hours and range of work

To be considered for this role you will have at least four years PQE as a criminal, public law or prison solicitor and have a proven track record of supervising a prison/public law contract including carrying out the range and variety of cases required including representing children and young people in casework
