We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our Management team within Buckinghamshire County Council’s Adults & Family Wellbeing Service Provision.
You will be responsible and accountable for the day-to-day delivery of high quality adult social care support. You will be an integral member of the countywide management team and will have the opportunity to promote consistent and innovative best practice across the county. You will have responsibility for a delegated budget and for improving and maintaining high performance standards within the teams you are responsible for.
This role will lead the development and provision of services in Buckinghamshire to meet defined targets focussing on improving the lives of the local population in general and in particular those people that we provide support to by promoting choice and control for local people whilst supporting independence within a safe environment.
A significant focus of your work will be to work strategically with district and borough council partners, health providers, care providers and the independent and voluntary sector to lead and drive the Safeguarding Agenda. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate active leadership within the County Council, and in partnership with relevant agencies to achieve the targets defined by the organisation and to drive improvements for the local population in general and in particular those people that we provide support to.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and innovative and can provide strong leadership for the social care teams they will be responsible for. Successful applicants will have a professional qualification in health or social care and a proven track record of successfully managing teams within a health or social care setting. You will be able to demonstrate a high level understanding and commitment to the personalisation agenda and have both direct experience of delivering adult social care services and a comprehensive and applied knowledge of adult social care legislation.
