The London Borough of Hounslow, a progressive West London Council is leading on the design, development and delivery of a collaborative shared transport service across West London. The transport ‘Bureau’ will bring together all of the transport services provided by the participating Boroughs, all committed to providing excellent customer service, to the transport service users of the West London community.

The role of Shared Transport Service Manager has been created to lead on the development of this Bureau. Your remit will be to project manage the integration of passenger transport services, including those for children with special needs and vulnerable adults, concessionary travellers and new transport and fleet management services.

The role will be largely involved in setting up and developing the Bureau as well as managing client relationships with representative Boroughs, third parties, and a diverse customer base, ensuring the successful delivery of the service.

Once the Bureau is in operation, you will manage the services provided on behalf of the participating Boroughs, ensuring it is cost effective and performing to the highest standard.

Reporting to the Assistant Director for Public Realm, you will be responsible for two direct reports from a team of approximately 22 staff.

To be considered for this role, you will have relevant experience in the following areas:

• Contract Management
• Team Management
• Project Management
• Budget Management
• Building and maintaining relationships with various customers and third parties
• Exposure to Fleet Management and transport operations including the carriage of children and young people with special needs/disabilities and vulnerable adults
