SOCIAL WORKER
(6 months fixed term)

A social worker post has become available in this multi-disciplinary team, based in the Forest Gate area and close to East Ham tube station. This well-established CMHT is jointly run by the East London NHS Foundation Trust and the London Borough of Newham.

The team is fully integrated and comprises community psychiatric nurses, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists and occupational therapists.

As a Social Worker you should:

• Hold degree in social work or equivalent.
• Have at least two years experience in the field of mental health
• Be a practising Approved Mental Health Professional and participate in the AMHP rota; or be
willing to train.
• Be conversant with recent government legislation and initiatives.
• Act as a care co-ordinator under the Care Programme Approach arrangements.
• Undertake joint assessments of individuals who have mental health difficulties.
