We are looking for a committed and innovative professional to join our Sports and Activities Team. You will lead on social inclusion programmes for the team and be responsible for:

• Administering the smooth day to day running of the Neighbourhood Sports Programme.
• Supporting and engaging children/young people who have been identified at risk of offending, exclusion and committing anti-social behaviour into a range of cultural and recreational activities.
• Liaising and working in partnership with agencies who are involved in reducing anti social behaviour and crime.

You will lead the team’s involvement in these programmes, ensuring that they operate efficiently, including providing performance indicators to demonstrate that they meet the high standards set by Newham Council.

You will contribute to the development of the Sports and Activities Team, linking programmes across the service as well as the wider Council vision.

You will need to be an excellent communicator with the ability to work with a wider range of health, sports and activity partners, external funders and a diverse range of community stakeholders in Newham.
