Strategic Director

We don’t really expect you to possess the skills of a tailor. But if you have the gold thread needed to connect our services and communities, you could be ideal for this role.

As Strategic Director, you will be cut out to make your mark in our Corporate Management Team and will champion excellence in everything we do. You will also provide strong leadership skills and support to three heads of service who manage high profile front-line services.

In this influential role, you will meet the needs of residents and communities by identifying opportunities for commissioning partnerships, creating new relationships and developing innovative ways of working.

You must be able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial flair in managing contractual relationships, large scale procurement and outsourcing, and be able to create a positive, results-orientated organisation. A strong mix of political awareness, contract management, effective influencing and negotiating skills will be key, plus the ability to maximise the benefits of partnership service deliveries with our contractors.
