Street Lighting Manager

Greenwich is undergoing a huge transformation – we recently became a Royal Borough and have played host to an incredibly successful Olympic Games. Crossrail is coming to the Borough and we are developing land, buildings and new transport links to create a living and working destination of choice.

Strategic Transportation plays a key role in the regeneration of the Borough and part of its function is the management of the highways network, major transport schemes and initiatives, obtaining transport funding and the development of transport policy.

Position Overview

You will be responsible for the street lighting team management and the efficient and effective management of electrical, structural and operational performance of all public lighting and sign installations within the borough. You will have knowledge of the latest industry developments and the ability to apply this to the boroughs regimes and plans. You will ensure work is delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, best practice and council policies.

The team delivers a varied works programme and you will be required to use your knowledge and skill to balance priorities, ensure sound programming and financial management, contribute to the review and development of policy and prepare and present relevant reports
