Willenhall E – Act Academy
Applications are invited for a Time Out Room Co-ordinator to commence in September 2013.The successful candidate will work in the Behaviour Management Centre supporting staff and students across the whole Academy.
The candidate should have:
- Experience of supervising/supporting students at risk of exclusion.
- Experience in resolving conflict.
- Experience of supporting young people e.g. Restorative Practices and mentoring.
- Have discretion and ability to handle confidential situations.
- A proven track record of working to deadlines and under pressure
The successful applicants must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with a wide range of people including teachers, parents, pupils, and the Senior Leadership Team.
Applicants must have good organisational and time management skills and be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent literacy and numeracy skills with evidence of grade A*-C in Maths and English at GCSE level. The ability to use I.C.T. as a learning and reporting tool would be an advantage however training will be given.
The appointed person will help manage the work for students in the Centre to ensure continuity of the curriculum, to coordinate the use of practical resources and facilities to meet the needs of the curriculum in the Centre.
