Support Officer (Appeals & Payments)

Richmond Parking Service is continually reviewing its structures and ways of working in order to provide the best services possible for residents, delivered in the most efficient way. Following a restructure of the teams we are now seeking to recruit an exceptional individual to take service improvement to an even higher level.

Parking enforcement is vital to ensure the free movement of traffic, aspects of road safety on our streets and to enable the effective use of parking facilities within the borough.

The work primarily involves the receipt and processing of challenges, representations and formal appeals against penalty charge notices; dealing with customer enquiries; liaising with DVLA, the Parking and Traffic Appeals Service, Northampton County Court TEC; receiving, processing and reconciling payments and refunds related to penalty charges; and assisting in the debt recovery process involving nominated agents. Additionally, a sound and practical working knowledge of the relevant Legislative procedures governing parking appeals work is required

The starting salary will be based on assessed levels of ability, knowledge and experience.
