Action for Children has been commissioned by Islington Council to deliver children’s centre services to families living in the area. We are a partnership between two voluntary sector organisations and have developed successful partnerships with local parents and other agencies to deliver a wide range services for children and families.

This senior management post will deputise for the Head of Centre and has a key role in managing and developing family support and outreach services in partnership with parents and key partners.

The successful candidate will have: proven experience of managing and developing family support services; experience of managing safeguarding concerns, proven track record of empowering parents and multi-agency working; experience of working in a childcare or children’s services environment and good understanding of social inclusion.

Good senior management background and good communication skills are both essential to meet the challenges of this role.
