Support Worker

People with learning disabilities are at the heart of everything we do. We have the opportunity to support people in their own home and we need to recruit the right people to join their support team. We are looking for motivated people who are organised and have plenty of enthusiasm. Experience is not as important as the willingness to learn and to see things from the point of view of the people we support, to enable us to respond to their preferences and support needs. We currently have a support worker opportunity within our children’s service, on a 6 month part time contract with a possibility of an extension, to work 12 hours per week mainly evenings and weekends.
The applicant must have a full driving licence and use of a car for work.
The position involves supporting children in a variety of activities, either at their home or out in the community. At present most of the work is in the South Leicester area.
