As the post-holder, you’ll improve resident satisfaction with our service by being responsible for quality control of responsive repairs and voids within a defined area. This will involve post-inspecting work undertaken by contractors and of void properties after completion of works, all to ensure that they meet acceptable resident satisfaction, quality, financial and timeliness standards. You’ll take appropriate action where it does not and also provide feedback to continuously improve the service. In addition to the above, you’ll also make contact with residents to establish their views and to agree access arrangements for visits or inspections.
To succeed, you should have (as a minimum) an ONC/HNC in building surveying or similar discipline. You’ll also have an appropriate level of technical building knowledge combined with a good understanding of building regulations and of statutory frameworks within which RSL’s operate. The ability to diagnose building defects and carry out stock condition surveys is essential, as is the ability to use Microsoft Office and databases. Experience of responsive repairs to residents’ homes in a social housing and partnering environment would be advantageous.
