The Strategic Housing & Health Directorate contains the strategic housing,environmental health and climate change/sustainability functions of the Council.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future. The Council has an ambitious Climate Change Strategy and environmental agenda, and has an Environmental Management System that is accredited to ISO 14001.

Charnwood was also the first Fairtrade Borough in the East Midlands.

We need an exceptional individual to maintain, develop and deliver these initiatives within the council and with partners across the county. You will be based within the Strategic Housing and Health Directorate but will be expected to work with a wide range of colleagues across the Council and with other organisations.

You will have a commitment to sustainability issues and experience of working in this field, but more important will have excellent communication skills, an ability to influence others, and the drive to get things done.
