Targeted Youth Support Worker (Qualified Social Worker)
Based at Stevenage, covering Stevenage & North Herts districts
£25,694 – £32,164 pa (depending on experience) + £3,000 market forces payment, pension & lease car
Permanent, 37 hours per week
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Social Worker who is passionate and committed to providing support to young people and their families. Targeted Youth Support offer targeted family support to prevent family breakdown and escalation into Specialist Services as well as the undertaking of Youth Justice Orders and statutory Social Work to Children Looked After. We have a variety of professionals from different backgrounds offering a multi-agency approach. At present we require a Social Worker that is able to work with young people within the Youth Justice system. You would also undertake some work in family support and with Looked After Children.
Candidates will have post qualifying experience and a proven track record of assessing the needs of young people and their families. Alongside this you will have experience of managing complex cases and achieving positive outcomes and working in a multi-agency environment. Ideally you will have experience of working with young people involved in the Youth Justice system. Experience of working with Looked After Children, homeless 16/17 year olds and family support is desirable.
