The Arthur Terry School is an 11-18 oversubscribed popular school, in brand new state of the art buildings in the pleasant suburbs of Sutton Coldfield. We have 1700 students and our Sixth Form is one of the largest in the country with over 450 students. Our last OFSTED inspection concluded that we are “an outstanding school”. However, we are not at all complacent. We have set ourselves more challenging targets which will see us further improve as we strive to maintain our position as a World Class School. That journey took a huge stride forwards as we were recently designated a Teaching School: one of only a hundred in the country (there are over 25,000 schools) so classified as the leadership, learning and teaching are Outstanding at such a consistently high level that we are charged with the responsibility of helping other schools to improve. Standards in teaching, learning and behaviour are exemplary and the school has a range of strategies such as vertical tutoring and an extensive range of extra-curricular activities that promote student potential.
