Location:Based at the Larch Centre, Weston-super-Mare 

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the EOTAS Service (Education Other Than at School Service) at one of the four Pupil Referral Units within North Somerset. We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with students aged 9 – 14 with emotional and behavioural needs. There is a further requirement that the individual has experience of leading sport and activity sessions with students in the appropriate age range.

The successful candidate will work within a team committed to providing alternative education for students aged 9 – 14 who are severely disaffected from school and at risk of being or have been permanently excluded. The postholder will report directly to the Head of the Centre.

This post is exempt under the provision of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
