Our fostering team is a well established team of social workers and family support staff who ensure that all North Somerset’s looked after children and young people are matched with the right foster family and that they are able to thrive in their placements and achieve their ambitions.

We are looking for a self-motivated leader who is interested in supporting their team to put children at the centre of our work and ensure the child’s voice is heard. Experienced, enthusiastic, ambitious and knowledgeable, you’ll be at the heart of delivering Children’s Services in North Somerset. You’ll take responsibility for the standards across your team, provide effective management and leadership.

You will plan and deliver quality and performance improvement across the service. You will know about the cases your team are working on, in particular high risk and complex cases, and will monitor outcomes for children and families in your area.
