About the role
To us a Team Manager isn’t just about managing – it’s about making a difference and inspiring those around you.
You’ll play a crucial role in leading the team in first class service delivery across the breadth of front door services including Triage, R&A and MASH - securing consistently positive outcomes for children and young people.
As our ‘front door’ lead, you’ll champion new and creative methods of working. You’ll pick up the mantel in continuing some of the excellent and innovative work that is already in motion. This uses early interventions to accelerate the best outcomes for our children at the soonest opportunity. We don’t believe in waiting and letting things ‘take their course’ when any child is suffering or potentially at risk.
You’ll also be involved in other cutting-edge work, such as our Practice Framework, Signs of Safety initiative and commitment to restorative practice.
You and your team will place a hefty emphasis on working collaboratively with families, schools and partners to find better, faster and more holistic solutions. In doing so, you will help equip those around you with the skills and confidence they need, whilst at the same time listening, understanding and learning from them.

You’ll be a driven, flexible and innovative social care professional with experience in front door services, albeit may not be across the breadth of those falling under this remit.
You’ll understand thresholds and the importance of data, performance management and an evidenced based approach.
As a manager, you’ll provide a clear sense of direction, promote a positive working culture and engender a great team spirit. You’ll lead by example - maintaining the highest standards of practice - and empowering others to do the same.
