SALARY: £22,958 TO £26,276 pa
Due to internal promotion an opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified person to join our Environmental Health Commercial Team as a Technical Officer for food safety. The suitable candidate will be required to inspect food premises, investigate food complaints, food poisonings and infectious diseases along with undertaking port health work and health promotion activities.
The suitable candidate will ideally hold the Higher Certificate in Food premise inspection or be willing to work towards this qualification. The ability to work in a team and be able to effectively communicate is a must. Experience working in the areas of Health and Safety or Port Health would also be advantageous.
A full driving licence and use of a car are necessary, for which essential car user allowance will be paid. Due to the nature of this post, an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check will be required.
