An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Officer to join the Council’s Private Sector Housing Team
We are looking for a person with a good knowledge of building construction to provide technical support to the team. The major tasks of the post include complaint investigation and inspection, assisting with surveys of Houses in Multiple Occupation and calculation of the reasonable costs of building work.
A knowledge of the Housing Health and Rating System to assess property condition would be an advantage. In addition the person must be able to work effectively as part of a team or individually, have good communication skills, be computer literate and possess a full driving licence.
