Technical Services is a newly formed team based centrally within the University of Wolverhampton. The Team forms part of IT Services and has the responsibility for the entire University IT Infrastructure including Desktop, Data Centres, Network and Telephony.

The main purpose of the role is to manage and lead the Technical Services team across the various disciplines to develop, implement, manage and maintain infrastructure services. This will involve the planning and coordinating of activities and resources within both the team as well as other teams both internal and external to IT Services. It will further require the role holder to be an individual contributor to activities within the team’s remit requiring expertise in several technical areas.

With a wide portfolio, ranging from operational activities to multiple diverse projects, you will also have considerable experience managing and implementing IT technologies and leading technologists.
