Technician (Laboratory & Field)

The School of Applied Sciences is looking for a highly motivated individual to support the School’s Laboratory & Technical team in the preparation, maintenance and support of laboratory and field activities for the School.
You will assist the team in the preparation and supervision of fieldwork and laboratory classes. You will also provide general support to the Laboratory & Technical team and academic staff with the maintenance of the teaching and research laboratories and School’s assets, including field equipment.
You will have strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, be confident in working on your own initiative to a high level of accuracy, some experience of working within laboratories and field based projects and a sound level of IT proficiency.
This post is available on a fixed term basis ending 31st July 2013.
