Temporary Landscape Operative

Working as part of our landscape services team, you’ll enjoy the outdoors and a varied workload where you will have the ability to operate simple grounds maintenance machinery and hand tools, maintain shrubs, flowers and trees under direction. The successful applicant will be contributing to the quality of life of our residents by providing a pleasant, neat, enjoyable and attractive local environment in the borough’s many parks, schools, open spaces, cemeteries, civic buildings and highways.

With a full clean driving licence, you will be committed to achieving tasks to the highest standards whilst keeping to performance targets and maintaining a safe and tidy work space. Relevant horticulture qualifications and a C1 +E driving licence are desirable but training may be given if required for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will ideally be able to start in this post as soon as possible and we envisage this contract to run until 31 October 2012.
