Do you want to play a part in the transformation of a great district?
The Road Safety Group is seeking an additional member of staff for a period of 23 months, primarily to support the team in the expansion of its child pedestrian training activities. There are some 160 schools in the area with children who would benefit from the training programme offered by the Group. Currently training has been offered to some 60 schools in the area and we are seeking an expansion of this process into the majority of the schools in the District. The primary responsibilities of this post will be to support the team in:
- liaising with the schools joining the programme to arrange its inclusion in their activities,
- organising the casual staff used to carry out this programme to meet the requirements of the participating schools,
- overseeing the training programme and maintain its content and effectiveness,
- monitoring the casual staff employed, the training programme and the progress achieved from the programme.
You will have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience working with children and young people within the last 10 years, and a Teaching Certificate or other relevant qualification with appropriate skills e.g. -Nursery Nursing.
