Housing is much more than bricks and mortar – it’s a profession that can give you a rewarding career where your contribution really matters. Sevenoaks District Council is offering a two year contract for a trainee Housing Officer, who, after training and reaching the required standard, will help prevent homelessness in the District. The post will sit in the Social Housing Team.
Self motivated, you must be able to demonstrate an interest and ability to assist people from diverse backgrounds, have the drive to take on responsibility and be prepared to discuss sensitive issues in a non judgemental way. Full training will be provided and as your knowledge and experience increase, you will work with increasing independence. Progression through the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance.
Candidates must posses a pass at GCSE level in Maths and English (or equivalent) and have a grade C at A level (or equivalent). In addition, you must have a clean driving licence and access to a car insured for business use.
