Trainee ICT Support Officer

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide high quality ICT support for our 200 users and ensure our systems are sufficiently maintained and up-to-date. Your role will be varied and you will be required to perform tasks such as changing passwords, setting up users, retrieving files from backups, supporting ICT hardware such as laptops, projectors and telephones and supporting software applications such as Microsoft Office. You will be the first point of contact for the ICT team and will be responsible for logging support calls and ensuring they are dealt with effectively, either by resolving the issue yourself or escalating to the appropriate expert.

This is an entry level role so no previous ICT support experience is required, although an interest in ICT and an enthusiasm to learn new skills is essential. Experience of using Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook), Windows operating systems (such as Windows 7 or Server 2008), databases (such as Microsoft Access) and mobile devices (such as BlackBerry or Android smartphones) would be highly beneficial. You will need excellent customer service skills, an eye for detail and an aptitude for problem solving. You will be expected to work on your own initiative and must be able to manage your own workload.
