The Transformation Programme is a cross-cutting programme that is addressing some key issues for Surrey County Council.

The programme aims to improve our business processes by streamlining how we work, including our procurement, HR and finance processes, providing a better basis for how we work with suppliers and responding to our customers’ needs.

You will have the opportunity to use and broaden your existing project management skills, and will be involved in a broad range of activities across different parts of the organisation. You will contribute to the delivery of the programme communication strategy as well as preparing briefing papers and communication packs for a wide range of audiences. You will have an integral role in supporting the management of risks and issues across the programme and supporting the overall management of key stakeholders.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated programme support officer to provide flexible support to the Change Director in leading organisation change and the effective management of the Transformation Programme. This broad ranging role will also involve the organisation of team events, and general administrative support to the programme management team, including noting and managing meeting actions.

You will have experience of working on projects or programmes and should have excellent communication and organisation skills in addition to high levels of IT literacy, in particular PowerPoint and Excel.

For an informal discussion about this role, please contact Liz Constance on 020 8541 7128.
