Helping us keep Oxfordshire on the move, you will oversee a constantly
changing workload for our Transport Development Control Team -
delivering a world-class transport infrastructure for generations to come.
Making certain we meet agreed quality standards and timescales, you
will incisively assess the transport and highway implications of complex
proposals, and represent the Council at committees, external meetings
and public inquiries.
You can expect an extremely high profile and constant variety at work,
as you recruit and develop Engineers and Transport Planning Officers,
build relationships with colleagues of all disciplines and put in place
considered and effective legal agreements. Above all, you will ensure
we take an informed and consistent approach to everything we do, with
particular emphasis on highway improvements and the construction of
new housing estate roads.
Naturally, you will bring wide-ranging experience in Transport
Development Control, backed by detailed knowledge of the planning
process and the relationship between transport provision and the
broader local authority infrastructure. At the same time, you should
possess a degree level qualification in an engineering, planning or
transport discipline, giving you everything you need to make clear
decisions and deliver outstanding customer service every day.
