Tree Inspector - One year contract

This is an exciting opportunity for you to use your passion for the outdoors to help enhance the quality of our trees and woodland. We are a small team committed to improving the parks and countryside within Guildford Borough and we have the budget to deliver.

You will use your arboriculture qualification and excellent knowledge of tree inspections and tree pest/disease identification to undertake a programme of cyclical tree inspections and works. You will also collate and organise survey data, manage small tree works contracts and assist with the co-ordination of larger schemes. With extensive travel around the Borough, you will also have the opportunity to liaise with customers, external clients and partners such as the Environment Agency and Natural England.

Along with fundamental contract management skills, you will also have excellent communication, IT and organisational skills to do well in this varied role. In return we will offer you a generous annual leave entitlement, final salary pension scheme and help with childcare costs. You will need to own a car for which an allowance will be paid.

This is a temporary post for one year in the first instance.
