Tree and Landscape Assistant
Grade E (£21, 067- £23,188 per annum)
Fixed-term Contract for 2 years – 3 days per week
Gloucester City Council is looking for motivated self-starter to work in our Countryside and Land Service.
The post will be responsible to the Environmental Planning Manager and will involve a large amount of outdoor, on site work. Duties will include assisting the team in: the management of the City Council’s tree and shrub stock, the production of park management plans and pursuing community based park/open space improvement schemes.
You will be qualified to National Qualification Framework level 4 or above in horticulture, environmental science or similar, have a proven knowledge of plants and trees, and have some practical of tree work and/or open space management. An understanding of community development, in particular Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) would be useful.
