Tree Officer (Development Management)
3 days per week
We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified Tree Officer to advise on all aspects of the Council’s tree service. This includes the assessment of and writing reports on applications for works to trees subject of Preservation Orders and in Conservation Areas, processing new Tree Preservation Orders and advising residents on tree related matters.
You will need to be :
- a strong team player with a flexible, calm and positive approach
- organised and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team to meet deadlines
- excellent customer care skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word
A full driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential for which a car allowance and mileage will be paid.
