Thames Valley Probation

Reducing re-offending in the Thames Valley

Do you enjoy a DIY challenge? Thames Valley Probation currently has an opportunity for a part-time job supervising adult offenders. You will oversee groups carrying out unpaid work in the community. This can be anything from clearing pathways to painting schools or conservation work. You will be given full training and can earn from £10.98 to £14.05 an hour plus extra allowances for working weekends.

You will effectively supervise offenders, maintain discipline and ensure that work is carried out to a good standard. Excellent communication skills and an ability to demonstrate a range of practical skills are essential. A confident, assertive approach is important, as is a full driving licence.

We offer excellent benefits, including a generous holiday entitlement of initially 27 days (increases with service) (pro rata for part-time) plus bank holidays.

We are committed to developing individual potential and offer a range of professional development opportunities.

Please download the application form and details below and send, completed as requested, to the address on the form.

For more information, please visit www.thamesvalleyprobation.gov.uk

Applications will only be accepted on official Thames Valley Probation application forms.

Closing date: 9 April 2010.
