Unqualified Teacher

The role

We are looking to appoint an Unqualified Teacher to work with children aged 4 to 7, to start in January 2013.

The role would suit a graduate who is thinking about a career in teaching and would like some hands-on experience. It will involve working with groups of underachieving children to raise attainment.

What we’re looking for

The successful candidate will have an honours degree or equivalent (plus GCSE A/B in Maths & English, or equivalent) and must be passionate about improving the life chances of young people. No previous teaching experience is necessary but a commitment to children’s education is essential.

Applicants should enjoy working with children and be understanding, nurturing and sympathetic to their needs. Full induction and training will be given.

Salary details and further information

Unqualified teacher scale (£19,893 to £29,088 depending on experience).
