Teachers required for the Upward Bound Project.
Hours of Duty: 9.30 to 1.30 on Saturdays (4 hours a week) specified dates during term time
Salary Rate: £38.00per hour plus planning time
We are looking to recruit two teachers of Mathematics and one English Teacher with the ability to teach at KS4. You will demonstrate strong teaching skills and the ability to motivate, enthuse, excite and challenge students to produce the highest quality work. These exciting posts require enthusiastic, hardworking, conscientious and energetic individuals who have an understanding of and commitment to widening participation and who seek to raise the aspirations of the students.
Cambridge Education is working hard with schools in Islington to maximise learning and achievement for Islington students. The Upward Bound Project is funded by the Dame Alice Owen Foundation in partnership with London Metropolitan University.
Its aim is to ensure as many students as possible to leave the 8 participating schools in Islington with at least 5 A* to C including English and Maths at GCSE and the aspiration to continue their education.
We are looking for subject teachers to join our existing team and become a part of the Upward Bound community on Saturday mornings at London Metropolitan University.
Work will include liaising closely with the Project Manager to plan classes.
