Vehicle & Warehouse Assistant, Furnish

Staying First is a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity committed to helping people live safely and securely in their homes and providing health related services to the community. It is part of the Shepherds Bush Housing Group.

As part of Staying First, Furnish collects donated furniture and recycles it to people in need. It also provides services such as removals, clearances and storage.

A new opportunity has arisen for a bright and enthusiatic individual to join the team at Furnish. The role provides support and assistance for the Furnish project with all aspects of the collection, delivery and warehouse facilities. The successful applicant will assist drivers with locating properties and collecting and delivering furniture, keeping the database of furniture in storage up to date and make small repairs where necessary. You will also assist with the organisation of the warehouse, keeping both the warehouse and the exterior clean and health and safety compliant at all time.

This post is offered on the basis of a fixed term contract and is antisipated to end on the 31/03/2013.
