We are looking for an experienced Welfare Benefits Advisor to work within the Customer Accounts Team. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive welfare benefit and debt advice to a range of residents as well as designing, delivering and facilitating training sessions about benefits for staff throughout the organisation.
You will have an in-depth knowledge of welfare benefits, departments and systems. You must be able to demonstrate that you can develop and manage an income maximisation programme for residents and be performance driven. You will be IT literate and able to use systems to monitor and evaluate outcomes. You will be able to analyse project information to produce reports and present findings to management.
In order to be shortlisted for this role, you will have to demonstrate your knowledge and experience by responding to the following questions:
- Demonstrate how you have provided welfare benefit and debt advice in your previous role/s.
- What would you do in the first 3 months in the role as Welfare Benefits Adviser.
- How would you engage with hard to reach groups.
- How have you liaised and built relationships with Housing Benefit Departments and other external agencies.
- Can you tell us of ways/methods of measuring the success of the Welfare Benefit Adviser role.
