The post holder will carry out and identify an Health and Safety Training Needs Analysis to cover the corporate H&S training plan and Adult’s social care workforce sector (50%/50% split) and deliver core/mandatory learning programmes corporately and across the adult services workforce. You will work with training providers, both internal and external to ensure that high quality learning interventions are delivered within budget and are effectively evaluated and developed and ensure that all people involved in programme interventions have the appropriate skills and knowledge

The main objectives will be to:

  • identify, design, promote, organise, deliver and evaluate a range of health safety training and develop solutions to meet the aims and objectives of the Corporate/Social Care (Adults) service plan
  • provide a comprehensive health & safety training service to managers across the council, delivering national courses from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), in house courses and providing bespoke training to meet specific needs.

Previous substantial experience of delivering H&S accredited learning and development courses to a range of audiences and targeting programmes appropriately a NEBOSH Diploma / G&G L4 Occupational H&S a C&G 7304 (CTLLS) or working towards the L4 qualification Adult teaching/training qualification or CIPD and a current CIEH Registration are all essential to this key role.
